Save Our Spaces - First Post-Game Jam Public Release

All the way back in 2023, I created the "Astrojam 2023" entry for the 20 Second Game Jam 2023. Some people seemed to like it, so I continued tinkering on it off and on. A while back I renamed it "Save Our Spacemen!" then "Save Our Spacers!" (because the astronauts really don't need to be gendered).

It's been sitting around in a "draft" state for quite a while. Figured I might as well put it out there while I continue to tinker.

If you haven't played the game before it's pretty simple: drag the spacers into the spaceship before time runs out! I think the experience is best on a touchscreen, but that's just me. Eventually the game will be available as a mobile app, but haven't had the time to deal with that yet.

There have been quite a few changes since the original, including:

• An actual main menu
• High scores
• More spacer movement types
• Firefighters and injured spacers
• More game modes besides the original 20 second one
• Black holes (though these levels aren't 100% complete - they can be very unfair)

The game is still in a "beta" state - only levels up to 11 have been updated, and everything probably needs more tuning. More features will be coming out... eventually?
